Last distance skated is the tiebreaker.  Men’s and Women’s divisions in all age groups.

Events and divisions may be combined due to time constrains or low registration. 

FORMAT

Race protocols will utilize an “all points format” by divisions. Multiple finals will be run for all divisions, where applicable. For divisions without heats, additional races or combining of divisions to create heats may occur. The last race in Class A will be a super final that includes all skaters. Class A & Novice will skate on both Saturday and Sunday.

 

AWARDS

Class A & Class B: Class A & B will receive awards 1st through 3rd overall in each division. Open A division will receive awards 1st through 4th overall. Class B will receive ribbons for individual races: 1st through 6th. Separate awards will be given for Juvenile-aged skaters (13-14) and those skaters aged 15 and older.

Chilly Blair 500 Meter Award, for the best 500 Meter time for women will be presented on Sunday in addition to the awards presented in the competition categories.

Bill Markland 500 Meter Memorial Award, for the best 500 Meter time for the men will be presented on Sunday in addition to the awards presented in the competition categories.

RELAY RACE
This year we will be offering a 3000m relay race for the participants in the Juvenile, Open A, and Master Division. Each relay team will include four skaters. Skaters are encouraged to use this as practice for National and North American Relays; please skate with association members that you are likely to be teammates with. Relays are not limited to only skaters participating in Nationals relays, everyone is encouraged to participate. Please mark the check box on the registration form. Races will be on Sunday at the end of the meet.

Fun Race
This year we will be offering a 2000m fun race for the participants in the Midget and Pony Divisions. Everyone is encouraged to participate.  Race will be on Sunday at the end of the meet, before the relay race.

NOTE: THIS FORM MUST BE READ AND AGREED, BEFORE THE PARTICIPANT IS PERMITTED TO TAKE PART IN THE LAND OF LINCOLN SHORT TRACK COMPETITION ON FEBRUARY 10-11, 2007, IN CHAMPAIGN, IL.  BY SUBMITTING THE ABOVE FORM, THE PARTICIPANT AFFIRMS HAVING READ IT, THE WAIVER & RELEASE.

                                                                                    

IN CONSIDERATION OF MY INVOLVEMENT IN THE SPORT AND ACTIVITIES UNDER THE AUSPICES OF U.S. SPEEDSKATING, AND/ OR ASAI ACKNOWLEDGE, APPRECIATE AND AGREE THAT:

 

1. I RISK BODILY INJURY, INCLUDING PARALYSIS, DISMEMBERMENT, DISABILITY AND DEATH, AND WHILE PARTICULAR RULES OF MY SPORT, EQUIPMENT, AND PERSONAL TRAINING AND DISCIPLINE MAY REDUCE THIS RISK, THIS RISK OF INJURY DOES EXIST, AS WELL AS THE RISK OF DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF PROPERTY;
